Short Story winner is chosen

We have a winner! Thanks to our brilliant judges Eddie, Finley, Bobby and Ellie, we have a winner to announce (at the PENfro Book Festival on Sunday) for the children’s short story competition — for exciting tales on the theme “How the Dragon came to Wales.” We are sworn to secrecy as to the identity of the winner. All will be revealed in the Oak Hall around 1 pm. The winner will get a £50 cheque. Then Deirdre Edwards will read out the winning story. Next week the story will be published on the Festival web site with illustrations by Boz Groden, and the winner will also get a “personalised mock front page” from the Western Telegraph to celebrate the auspicious happenings of the great day……. all you Booker Prize people, eat your hearts out!
